Mission Statement
M.A.C. brings together a wide-ranging group of professionals with both creative
and empirical commitment to early intervention, diagnosis, treatment,
education and enrichment of children 0- 5 who have suspected or documented
disabilities. Research models will be created to explore and better
understand such issues as bonding and attachment, perception, language,
motor development and cognition. These professionals work collaboratively
with parents and caregivers so that efficacy and informed consent
permeates all research and education efforts. Empowerment of parents
and caregivers relative to their legal rights and the rights of the
child is integrated throughout the fabric of the M.A.C. The Center
can provide representation and/or support in litigation if disputes
represent broad, systemic questions about early intervention and preschool
needs of children and families.
